A new 1/48 Supermarine S.6B injection plastic kit has been released by AMP from Ukraine! Designed by the renowned R.J. Mitchell for the 1931 Schneider Trophy Race, the S.6B is a British racing seaplane. It features a Rolls-Royce "R" 12-cylinder, water-cooled V-type piston engine with an impressive output of 2,350hp. After winning races, it set a new speed record of 656 km/h.
The kit includes photo-etched parts, paint mask decals, and four types of decals representing the S.6B S1595 (winner of the Schneider Trophy Race), S.6B S1596 (established speed record), and S.6A N247 and N248 (participated in the Schneider Trophy Race with a 1,900hp Rolls-Royce "R" engine). Additionally, a wooden assembly jig is provided. The completed model measures approximately 183mm in length (including floats) and 190mm in width.
