This is an injection-plastic kit of a science-fiction/anime item.

In "Space: 1999," human exploration left its mark when Moonbase Alpha was constructed on the desolate surface of the moon.  Its staff of technicians and scientists were charged with monitoring stores of nuclear waste housed in underground silos on the dark side of the moon.  Among the various waste fields, Waste Area 2 was distinctive with its cross-shaped layout. The area was illuminated by lamps mounted along the laser fence that defined its periphery.  Alphan personnel, transported by six-wheeled moon buggies, inspected the field's cone-shaped control units.

This kit from MPC highlights Nuclear Waste Area 2 with a set of models authentically based on the miniatures and vehicles used in the television adventure.  It is compatible with the 22" Eagle Transporter model kit. Multiple sets can be combined to create a larger display of the area.
