Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Russian IS-3 (or JS-3) heavy tank is also called the Stalin 3 heavy tank. Its prototype was completed in October 1944, and it was given the development number of Objekt 703. Mass production was begun in the following year, but World War II ended before this massive tank could be deployed in battle.  It was, however, shown at the Victory Parade in Berlin in September 1945, and its front armor, height, and huge 122mm gun shocked Western observers; heavy tanks such as the M103 in the U.S. and the British Conqueror were subsequently developed to compete with it. 

This tank comes with a crawler belt made of soft resin.  Its turret can be rotated, and the 122mm gun barrel moves up and down. Some of the hatches can be opened and closed, and a machine gun is mounted on the turret. Decals and one figure are included.
