Description

This is a resin-cast aircraft kit.

1/48 scale full resin kit released by SBS Models of Hungary.

The M.39 was a seaplane built by the Italian company Aermacchi in 1926 exclusively for the Schneider Trophy Race.

Macchi entered the race in 1925 with the Macchi M.33 flying boat, a monoplane designed to reduce aerodynamic drag, but it finished in third place.

Macchi decided to enter the Schneider Trophy with a seaplane-style aircraft that imitated the American Curtiss R3C-2, which had won that year.

Although the M.39 adopted the seaplane style, the main wing was a monoplane, in keeping with the previous model.

The M.39 won the Schneider Trophy Race held in Virginia, U.S.A., in 1926.

The kit comes with etched parts, transparent film for the instrument panel, paint mask stickers, cast brass struts and 3 types of decals (the winning 5th plane and the 1st and 3rd planes that participated in the same race).

The full resin kit of the SBS model is a kit that was created by the manufacturer from a modeler's point of view, with parts with delicate details that are difficult to reproduce by injection, and the number of parts is kept as compact as possible with the highest priority given to ease of construction.

Please note that the actual product specifications may change from the scheduled delivery month due to manufacturer's circumstances. Please understand this in advance.
