This is a detail-up set for the Platz/Italeri 1/48 scale F-14 Tomcat kit, including pitot tubes and AOA sensor parts. The F-14 Tomcat, a carrier-based air superiority fighter operated by the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 2006, is well-represented in the popular Platz/Italeri 1/48 scale kit. This set enhances the kit's ease of assembly while providing sharper details. It features detail-up parts made from metal components. Included in the set are two parts that replicate the cover and nose tip installed on the nose of the early model F-14 Tomcat, as well as the AOA sensor mounted on the left side of the cockpit. By adding these parts to the kit, you can significantly enhance the realism of the finished model, as well as improve its structural integrity. The parts are made from turned brass.
