After World War II, under the command of General Franco, Spain promoted a self-sufficient economy, affecting the automotive industry as well as virtually every other sector of the economy. The state-owned factory known as ENASA S.A. was established for the production of trucks, which led to the creation of the Hispanos Iza and its 66G model, from just after the war; it is now sold in Japan under the name Pegaso. By 1954, it had a 140hp diesel engine and had a top speed of 80km/h. This was also the time when many fire departments were introducing new emergency vehicles; basically all fire trucks were required to keep the driver's seat enclosed, although there wa an exception. The Sierra Morena-based Mining Metallurgical Society ordered a special fire truck different from any other, possibly out of a simple desire to own a rotatable ladder that could reach the towering boilers of their factory. Maybe it was because the fire engine was intended for use only on the company's premises, so there was no need to meet vehicle registration rules and regulations.
This completed resin display model is limited to 333 pieces -- don't wait, place your order now!
