This is a completed plastic or resin display car model.
Limited to 333 pieces! This Clark Cortez van was used by NASA to transport astronauts to the launch pad; this completed resin display model depicts the van as it was in 1969, taking the Apollo 11 astronauts to the Saturn V rocket in preparation for the first manned mission to the moon on July 16, 1969! Although little is known about this van, we know that it was not a commercial model; it had to be modified to have enough room inside it for astronauts wearing their spacesuits. It was also used to transport NASA employees to various points on the vast Kennedy Space Center grounds; it was retired in the early 1980s with the advent of the space shuttle program. The bus is now open to the public at Kennedy Space Center -- and now you can add it to your own collection!
