This plastic model assembly kit is a 1/350 scale reproduction of the WWII US Navy destroyer, Livermore DD-429.

About the actual ship:.

The U.S.S. Livermore DD-429 is one of the Gleaves class destroyers of the U.S. Navy, which began construction in 1938.

Commissioned in October 1940, she left New York in April 1942 to escort a fleet of ships across the Atlantic when the U.S. entered World War II.

By June, she had conducted two escort missions.

She then participated in coastal patrol missions in the Caribbean and the invasion of North Africa in November.

She continued to operate in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, and also participated in the Pacific theater.

Her standard displacement was 1630 tons and her overall length was 106 meters.

The main guns were five 38-caliber 5-inch single-barreled guns.

In addition, it was equipped with two 21-inch five torpedo tubes.
