This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The RMS Olympic was built as a sister ship to the ill-fated Titanic. She served as the lead ship of the White Star Line, with a total length of 269 meters, a weight of 45,324 tons, and four chimneys. She served as a passenger ship on the Atlantic route, and served as a military transport ship when World War I began in 1914. Camouflage paint was applied to her elegant hull at that time. After the war, she again served as a passenger ship, continuing until 1935. After she was dismantled, some of her equipment was put up for auction, and some of it is still on display on the Celebrity Millennium, operated by Millennium Cruises.
This kit includes newly molded promenade deck parts; after the Titanic tragedy, the number of lifeboats was increased and safety devices were added, but this kit models her original appearance, as seen on her maiden voyage in 1911, in observance of the Olympic Games. The full hull is molded in one piece with detailed panel lines; the deck, cabin, mast and chimneys are all fully detailed. Order yours today!
