This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
This kit from Mikro Mir is an entirely new mold! The KX-03 is a super-large flying boat researched by Kawanishi Aircraft at the request of the Imperial Japanese Navy (although it was never manufactured). At the beginning of 1943, the Navy requested Kawanishi Aircraft to study the technical feasibility of a 500-foot-long flying boat; engineer Takeuchi Tamenobu was the team leader, and engineer Shizuo Kikuhara was the general cooperator. They designed a 500-foot main wing, calculated the weight of the main wing structure, designed a promising hull, and confirmed data such as cruising power through wind tunnel experiments and aquarium experiments. The total width of the KX-03 was 180m, and it was possible to transport an entire battalion of troops. The main wing was partly made of wood, and the engine is mounted on the upper surface of the main wing using a pylon. The main power was supplied by an Ne201 turboprop engine made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The Ne330 turbojet engine was used as auxiliary power.
