Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
1/350 scale reproduction of the bridge of the battleship Haruna, which has a large air defence command post at the top of the bridge!
Battleship Haruna was built at the Kobe Kawasaki Shipyard as the third ship of the Kongo class.
It was refitted twice before the Pacific War, and during the war saw a wide range of service, from direct escort of carrier task forces to bombardment of enemy territory.
After bombarding the airfield at Guadalcanal Island with Kongo in October 1942 and accompanying the task force in the Battle of the Mariana, she was active with Yamato and Musashi in the Battle of Leyte in October 1944.
After that, she returned to the interior and moored off Etajima/Oyoyo after the Kure air raid.
During an air raid in July, she was attacked by a ship-borne aircraft and hit the bottom, thus ending the war as it was.
