This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Based on the recently released new tool IJN Yamato kit comes this new version of the sister ship, the IJN Musashi! This 'Deluxe' version features a number of detail up parts from photo etch details, 3D printed parts and more!
The Musashi was the second battleship of the Yamato class built by the Imperial Japanese Navy, and its name was derived from the Musashi Province. This ship, along with the first ship Yamato, was the largest battleship ever built and was equipped with 46 cm guns, making it a super-dreadnought battleship. It was the last battleship built by the Japanese Navy. Musashi was assigned to the First Fleet, First Squadron in August 1942, arrived at the Truk Atoll in January of the following year, and became the flagship of the Combined Fleet in February. In June 1944, Musashi participated in the Battle of the Mariana Islands with Yamato and was sunk by an attack from American aircraft during the initial battle of the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
