Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The IJN heavy cruiser Tone was launched in 1937 and saw action with the Japanese Navy in many battles throughout WWII, finally being sunk at dock during the Allied air attacks on the Kure ship yards in July of 1945, one month before the end of the war.
Tamiya's all-new tooling of the Tone is the first injection-molded kit of this ship in 1/350 scale. It can be built as either a full-hull or waterline model, and includes a full compliment of eight Type 0 reconnoissance seaplanes. Also includes photo-etched metal detail parts to enhance the already fantastic detail of the plastic parts, and a display stand for the full-hull version. Measures 57.6cm long when assembled.
