This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Adapted from the manufacturer:
The Voltaire was launched on January 16, 1909. At the start of the First World War, she was involved in the Western Mediterranean along with the light cruiser Breslau. She also spent time in the Otranto Straits and the Dardanelles, in the blockade to prevent German, Austro-Hungarian, and Turkish warships from entering the Mediterranean. The Voltaire was hit by two torpedoes fired by the German submarine U48 in October 1918, but she sustained no serious damage. After the war, the ship was converted in the 1923-25 modernization, and later became a training ship. After she retired in 1935, she was sold as scrap metal and scuttled in 1939.
This kit will be 41.4cm long and 73.7cm wide when completed; molded in gray and black plastic. Decals, photo-etched metal parts and a base for display are included.
