This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
An incredibly detailed model of Japan's Antarctic observation ship, the Soya.
This edition of Hasegawa's excellent Soya kit depicts the Observation 3rd Corps version of the ship. Also includes a DH-2 Beaver aircraft and two Sikorsky S-58 helicopters. A great model of an interesting and unusual subject.
*First production run kits include 1/32 scale Taro and Jiro and observation crew figures. Please note that these figures are no longer included.
