This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank was an indispensable vehicle for the Japanese during World War II. It made its debut in 1937, and was used all the way through the end of the war. Its unique design included a turret equipped with a headband antenna, a low and compact body that was also asymmetrical in shape, an air-cooled diesel engine and a seesaw suspension. It struggled a bit against other tanks with its 18.4 caliber 57mm gun, but over 2,000 of this tank were produced by 1944.
This kit from Dragon models the new chassis type with an improved upper hull. The rear of the hull and the left and right sides of the engine deck all accurately reflect the difference from the older version; all details and shapes are reproduced. The hatches are made with separate parts; the lower hull accurately reproduces the shape of the storage box and rear fender. The tracks can be assembled with a special jig, expressing natural slack and creating a realistic look. The asymmetrical turret is detailed down to the rivets, and the 57mm gun is composed of multiple parts. This kit also includes a set of five Japanese tank soldier figures by Mini Art. Order yours now!
