This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

In the Second World War, technologies such as various mechanical weapons and electronic equipment evolved and developed with tremendous momentum. Airplanes and ships dramatically enhanced their night-fighting ability with radar equipment, and even in land battles, infrared night-vision equipment was developed and deployed in the latter half of World War II to raise night-fighting ability. In Germany, AEG and Zeiss began working on night-vision equipment in 1936, and the prototype was completed in 1939. In 1942, the ZG 1221 viewer and infrated headlamp combined unit was made; these units were mounted on tanks, making them the first night-vision device put to practical use. In 1945, a night-vision apparatus called the ZG 1229 Vanpiel was developed for infantry use.

This model reproduces the German main tank of WWII, the Panther G, with Zimmerit coating. Parts for the ZG 1221 infrared night-vision device are also included, as a special kit to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Dragon Model. The Zimmerit is extremely well-detailed to accurately replicate the real thing.
