This 1/35 scale plastic model kit reproduces the T-34/85, the 85mm gun-mounted version of the T-34 that served as the main tank of the Soviet Army in World War II.

About the actual vehicle:

The Soviet Army, which had a growing sense of urgency over the appearance of the German Tiger I tank in World War II, thoroughly researched and studied the captured Tiger I. The T-34/85 is the main tank of the Soviet Army, and is equipped with an 85mm cannon.

They concluded that the 76.2mm gun of the main T-34 tank was not powerful enough, and that a 55 caliber 85mm anti-aircraft gun could barely compete with it.

Based on this, they proceeded to develop a more powerful 85mm tank gun.

The 85mm gun was larger than the 76.2mm gun and was mounted in a large turret that could accommodate a captain, a gunner, and a loader in the turret.

The T-34/85 was developed in 1944 and was equipped with an 85mm gun, which was larger than the 76.2mm gun.

The T-34/85 was formalized and went into production in 1944.
