This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
In the 1930s, multi-turret tanks were considered the future of tank warfare in European countries. In Germany, two companies, Rheinmetall and Krupp, developed a multi-turret tank under the name "Neubaufahrzeug," which means "new vehicle." Rheinmetall first produced two vehicles, and then Krupp produced three more, for a total of five. The two Rheinmetall vehicles were produced in 1934, and operated at tank training schools until 1940. On the other hand, the Krupp vehicles were put into service against Norway during the 1940 invasion of Northern Europe. The main turret is equipped with a 7.5cm KwK tank gun and a 3.7cm KwK tank gun in parallel, as well as an MG13 7.92mm machine gun. The front and rear secondary turrets were also equipped with 7.92mm machine guns. Although there were high hopes for these tanks, they did not correspond to the concept of blitzkrieg, which required a high degree of mobility; however, their intimidating appearance served the German Army well in the way of propoganda.
Dragon's model kit is based on the second vehicle manufactured by Rheinmetall and used at the training school. The unique shape of the Neubaufahrzeug with its three distinctive turrets is beautifully reproduced, with each turret's shape accurately represented. The 7.5cm KwK tank gun and 3.7cm KwK tank gun are also reproduced; the front machine gun can be moved up and down, and the turret can be swiveled. The hull of the tank, the complicated wheel mechanism, and details such as the hatches and in-vehicle tools also enhance the finish. Photo-etched parts that produce sharp details are also included.
