This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

In World War II, the railroad network that stretched across Europe played an important role as a means of transporting various equipment and supplies. In the meantime, the Allied forces confronting the Germans and the partisans cooperating with them launched attacks and sabotage aimed at disrupting the railroad network. In order to protect the railroads, Germany developed and put into operation various types of armored trains.

One of them was the heavily armored reconnaissance train developed by Steyr Daimler. The armored train consisted of a command car and other vehicles with various equipment. One of the cars in the train was the command car type, which was equipped with communication equipment and had medical personnel on board. Each car had 20mm thick armor and weighed about 18 tons.

The armored reconnaissance trains were produced from 1943 to 1945, and were used to prevent sabotage of the railroad network.

About the model:

This plastic model assembly kit reproduces the heavy armored reconnaissance train developed and operated by the German Army at the end of World War II. The trapezoidal shape of the train body is well reproduced, and the details of each part of the train body are realistically expressed. The on-board tools that are reproduced in separate parts also add to the realism of the finished product. In addition, the frame antenna that is equipped in the upper body is also reproduced.

Machine gun hatch equipped in each part of the car body can be assembled in a choice of state and retracted state equipped with a machine gun. The kit also comes with a base that reproduces the railroad tracks for displaying the reconnaissance train.
