This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Dragons Tiger I Tunisia variant makes a new appearance with magic tracks and an aluminum barrel!
About the actual vehicle:
The heavy tank Tiger I, developed by Germany during World War II, began production in 1942 and continued until August 1944. Despite a modest production total of around 1,300 units, it underwent continual improvements and modifications until the Mk.13. Its 88mm gun boasted overwhelming firepower against heavily armored Allied and Soviet tanks. With features like a 100mm frontal armor, it became a formidable force against Allied attacks until the end of the war. Initially deployed on the Eastern Front against the formidable Soviet tanks, Tiger I units were later sent to the North African front with the German Africa Corps. The 501st Heavy Tank Battalion, formed in May 1942, equipped with 20 Tiger Is and 16 III tanks, engaged British and American forces in Tunisia from November 1942 to May 1943.
About the model:
This model represents the Tiger I of the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion deployed on the North African front from 1942 to 1943 in 1/35 scale. It faithfully reproduces the features of the early production Tiger I, including pistol ports, rear-mounted Gepack Kasten, and folded front fenders. The turret body parts, gun mantlet, and Gepack Kasten are accurately modeled, while the barrel parts are made of aluminum for enhanced realism. The assembly-type magic tracks are used to tighten the undercarriage, along with early-type road wheel parts to enhance realism. Additionally, it comes with etched parts for detailing. The markings depict those of the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion, making it an essential kit for Tiger I enthusiasts.
