This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
In World War II, the German Army was equipped with a large number of half-track type vehicles, with tires on the front and tracked rear wheels similar to those on tanks. Among them, the simple type of half-track, which uses the chassis of a truck and has the rear part remodeled into a tracked type, is collectively known as Maultier; it was produced by Opel and Ford Germany. When production started in 1942, they were deployed mainly on the Eastern Front, which could be extremely muddy depending on the season; it was actively used for transportation and displayed excellent running performance. Taking advantage of its mobility, self-propelled artillery equipped with anti-aircraft guns and ambulance types were also made and operated.
This model kit from Dragon reproduces the ambulance type of Maultier for transporting injured soldiers. The exterior and interior are fully reproduced; the doorknobs on the doors on the rear and sides of the vehicle can be selected from two types, and both sets of doors can be opened and closed. The access step for entering and exiting the vehicle can be assembled raised or lowered. The stretchers inside and the rack that holds them are also realistically reproduced, as is the engine under the hood. Preassembled Magic Tracks are included for the crawler belt. Nine stretchers are included for different cabin layouts; four figures (two medics and two wounded soldiers) are also included. Place your order today!
