This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The German Army of World War II developed and deployed many half-track-type vehicles to increase the mobility of their troopers. Among them, the Sd.Kfz.251 is an armored personnel carrier type based on the body of a three-ton half track. Production began in 1939, and it was widely used on various fronts. It became a representative vehicle for German military personnel carriers, with many variations developed. One of these was the command type Sd.Kfz.251/6. This vehicle was a command vehicle for senior officers, and was used to take command at the front. Initially, it was equipped with Fu.11 and Fu.Tr radios, but later versions had the radios changed to Fu.19 and Fu.12. The upper part of the vehicle was equipped with a large frame antenna and rod antenna. It was also said to have been equipped with an Enigma code machine.
This 1/35-scale model kit from Dragon reproduces the Sd.Kfz.251/6C type armored command vehicle. The complex surfaces of the hull are accurately reproduced, and EZ Tracks are include for ease of assembly and a realistic finish. The interior of the battle compartment features a detailed reproduction of the large communication equipment, packed tightly into racks, that characterizes the command vehicle. Figures of two communication soldiers who operated the communication equipment are included. The frame antenna and 8m Cubel mast are also included; the details of the base of the rod antenna are painstakingly reproduced, and the kit can be assembled with the upper body either extended or contracted. Metal parts are included for the vehicle width pole, too. Order yours today!
