Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Panzerjager I self-propelled tank destroyer was based on the chassis of the Panzer I and equipped with the effective and fearsome 47mm Czechoslovakian gun, which was powerful for armored vehicles of that time.
The Panzer I tank was no longer suitable for the operational needs of Germany's armored divisions.
However, its high mobility and structural reliability made it ideal for mounting an anti-tank gun behind an open steel shield.
It was used by the Wehrmacht during the 1941 invasion of France, in North Africa, and in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa.
This vehicle carried a sufficient stock of ammunition, with more than 70 rounds available for the gunner.
As the 47mm gun became ineffective against newer tanks with stronger armor, it was gradually replaced during the war by more modern and heavily armed tank destroyers.
