Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

This tank was developed by Vickers in 1928. It incorporated many mechanisms that were innovative at the time, and was exported to many countries, having a great impact on the creation of tank units during the interwar period. The A type had a twin turret, and the B type had a single turret; it was designed so that the armament and armor thickness could be changed according to the customer's request. Initially, it was equipped with an Armstrong Siddeley Puma air-cooled four-cylinder engine. Because of the air cooling, there was a problem with heating, so Vickers prototyped a liquid-cooled F model, but many customers preferred the conventional Puma, so the Puma mounted on the F-model body became the late model. The turret of the latter type for Finland was on the right side, but the others were made on the left side as before. It was purchased by Bulgaria and Thailand; some intended for Thailand went to Britain. The Thai Army used this tank in combat against French Indochina in 1941.

This model kit from CAMS features the radio (blue box) mounted on the engine bulkhead; you can see the placement of the engine and fuel tank. A bumper is attached behind the exhaust muffler. It's equipped with a QF 3-pounder gun (47mm), and is also equipped with a machine gun on the same axis as the main gun, which was epoch-making for those days. The machine gun can be selected from two types, and the main gun and machine gun move up and down separately. Each hatch can be opened or closed; the interior is fully detailed, and the Armstrong Siddeley Puma air-cooled engine is also precisely reproduced.
