Description

This is a resin-cast field gun model kit.

The StG43 (MP43), designed and produced in Germany in 1943, had a great impact on the armies of many countries and was even called the originator of the assault rifle.

The Soviet Union developed the AK-47 based on the StG43, and the United States developed the AR-15 later.

The U.S. Air Force adopted it and named it the M16.

The U.S. Army adopted the M16 as the XM16E1 for testing.

The XM16E1 kit is a prototype version of the M16A1, and differs from the M16A1 in that it has a trident muzzle tip and a short 20-round magazine, both of which were found to be defective during the Vietnam War, in which the M16A1 had already intervened.

Also included are etched parts to recreate the bayonet and sling.
