This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Unimog is a truck that has gained an excellent reputation as a multi-purpose work vehicle. It is manufactured and sold by Mercedes-Benz, and has created a unique genre with excellent mobility, a high minimum ground clearance, and a four-wheel-drive mechanism, as well as a unique body style that accommodates those features. The S404 series made its debut in 1955, and by 1980 more than 64,000 of this vehicle had been produced. The name "Unimog" is taken from the initials of the German word for "Universal Motor Gelate," which means a multi-purpose power unit; it gained its name in 1946, and production began in 1948. A lot were deployed for agriculture and public works in addition to being used as West German military vehicles during the Cold War. In the S404 series, an in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine and an in-line four-cylinder diesel engine were available, and purchasers could choose from two types of bodies: a two-door cab and a two-door cabriolet. The Unimog continues to be improved even today, and is still active in a wide range of fields.
This model kit of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog, an off-road truck that is widely used for its high mobility and versatility, represents the S404 type that appeared in 1955. This model is of the type with a cabriolet type cab, and is fully detailed down to the engine and the realistically reproduced ladder frame. The cabin is an open-top type, and a canvas top with a realistic texture is also available. A Breda 37 machine gun is set on the carrier, made with 3D-printed parts. High-quality resin wheels are included, as are decals by Cartograf for eight versions: armed forces versions from Britain, France, Croatia, and Portugal, as well as four civilian versions.
