The Sd.Kfz. 234 is a series of German 8-wheeled heavy armored reconnaissance vehicles produced between December 1943 and 1945. The Sd.Kfz. 234/2, which was the first to be produced in this series, featured a manually operated, enclosed turret equipped with a 60-caliber 5cm KwK39/1 cannon and a coaxial 7.92mm MG42 machine gun. Although not its official designation, this vehicle is widely known by the nickname "Puma."
