This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The German Sd.Kfz 138 Marder III Ausf. H was one incarnation of the Marder tank destroyer, this version being built on the Czechoslovakian-designed Panzer 38(t) chassis but with the engine located in the rear (the "H" stands for "Heckmotor," meaning "rear engine") and the 75mm Pak 40/3 gun mounted mid-chassis. Marders were produced from 1942 and served on all fronts during WWII.
Dragon's (Cyber-Hobby's) Marder II H variation is a "Smart Kit," Dragon's series of kits designed to give modelers the most detail with the least hassle. Even so, this box is packed with parts, including a nice fret of photo-etch, a bonus aluminum main gun barrel, and Dragon's easy-to-assemble Magic Track indy-link tracks (with casting numbers etched on each and every link!). Fear not, the links are fairly well cleaned up and ready to assemble. Indy links couldn't be easier! A variety of optional parts are also provided. Slide-mold technology ensures the greatest amount of detail with the least number of parts. The open fighting compartment is fully detailed, as is the gun mechanism. Driver's station and other internal details are included. Markings are for two vehicles. This release also includes a newly-tooled canvas fighting room cover, rendered in Dragon's flexible DS styrene. Expand your Marder collection (or start it!) with this great kit from Dragon! Includes exploded-view pictorial-type instructions, with color callouts and notes in Chinese, English, French, German, and Japanese.
