This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
In December 1939, the Soviet Army formalized the KV-1 as the next-generation flagship heavy tank, incorporating modern equipment such as diesel engines and torsion bar suspensions. The KV-2 is a heavy tank for breaking through positions, based on the body of the KV-1 with a huge 152mm howitzer replacing the KV-1's 76.2mm gun. The turret became extremely tall to ensure internal space. It was sent to the military in July 1940, and more than 200 vehicles were built. The KV-2 was prone to suffering from breakdowns due to excessive vehicle weight, but it stood in front of the German troops until they were ready for a counterattack.
Tamiya's newest model kit of the KV-2 features a huge turret with realistically expressed rough texture and welding patterns of the armored surface; the hatches can be assembled opened or closed. A full-body commander figure and a half-body tank soldier figure leaning out of the hatch are included, as are decals for two versions. Order yours today!
