Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Leclerc is France's main tank.
Development of this vehicle began in 1971 as the successor to the AMX-30, and delivery to the French Army began in 1992.
The Leclerc is equipped with a 120mm smoothbore cannon with automatic loading system and has a modular interior with composite armor.
GIAT, the company responsible for the production of the Leclerc, classifies vehicles manufactured in the first through fifth production lots as "Series 1," vehicles manufactured in the sixth through ninth production lots as "Series 2," and vehicles manufactured in the tenth through eleventh production lots as "Series XXI.
Series XXI vehicles are equipped with a new type of composite armor module with improved bullet resistance and the addition of an IRIS infrared imaging device and a laser rangefinder to the all-round swivel sighting device for the vehicle commander.
The ICONE Battle Management System (BMS) allows the user to see not only the overall and local situation on the battlefield, but also the positions of the enemy and their units, remaining ammunition, and damage status at a glance. The kit comes with etchings, decals, and a clear plastic box.
