This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Land Rover is the UK's most popular four-wheel-drive off-road vehicle. It's earned a great reputation for its tough build, high off-road performance, and excellent ride comfort. Its history began in 1901 with the British car manufacturer Rover. In response to the success of small American four-wheel-drive vehicles in World War II, Rover began to develop their own version, and the Land Rover was announced in 1948. Starting from Series I to Series III, production continued until 1985 without changing the basic style, and it became a four-wheel-drive vehicle representing Britain. The Land Rover 88 has a wheelbase of 88 inches, and is use for both military and civilian use.
This model kit from AK Interactive is of a private tow truck based on the Series II 88-inch wheelbase type of Land Rover that first appeared in 1952. The wrecker equipment is a detailed reproduction of the British Harvey Frost crane, including the arms and the operation handle. The 4WD mechanism and suspension leaf springs on the underside of the chassis are well modeled for a mechanical finish; the body features fine details such as the design of the headlights laid out in the center. The kit can be assembled as a right-hand or left-hand-drive version, and decals for three British wrecker versions are included. Order yours today!
