Typhoon is the name for a series of wheeled mine-resistant armored/armored personnel carriers that began to be deployed in the Russian Federation Armed Forces in 2014.

The Typhoon series has several types, including KamAZ and Ural, but all of them share the same engine and control/information system.

The vehicle has a V-shaped body and high ride height, and is designed to protect the occupants from mines and IED blasts by providing shock-absorbing seats for the occupants.

The fixed armament can be equipped with a remotely operated gun turret (RWS) such as the Alballet-DM.
