Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Type 97 light armored car (Te-ke) was developed for reconnaissance, search and liaison purposes as a successor to the Type 94 Light Armored Car (TK), which contributed to the mechanization of the Army as a handy light tank from the beginning of the Sino-Japanese War (China Incident). The compact and lightweight body is said to be one of the best in the world for this type of vehicle, and two types were produced: a 7.7mm machine gun model and a 37mm tank cannon model. This vehicle was mainly deployed to the Reconnaissance Regiment, which was a mobile reconnaissance unit formed by reorganizing a cavalry regiment. It was also deployed to many units, such as the Tank Regiment, for liaison purposes, and to the Naval Landing Force.
