This is a set of optional parts for detailing car models.
The Rotabuggy, which first flew in 1943, was a 1/4-ton vehicle fitted with a 12.4-meter-diameter rotor, a rear fairing, and a tail without a rudder. Two pilots were required to operate the control stick in the air. In testing, a Bentley vehicle with a 4.5-liter engine was towed and flew at a speed of 45mph, and subsequent tests were towed by a Whitley bomber. In early tests, Rotabuggies tended to violently vibrate at speeds of more than 72km/h, but after improvements wer made, they achieved a flight at 113km/h. In the final test, the aircraft flew at 122m altitude at 105km/h for 10 minutes after being disconnected from the Whitley bomber, and it was rated "sufficient enough." However, the introduction of a military glider capable of mounting vehicles eliminated the need for the Rotabuggy, and further development was canceled.
This kit includes resin parts to convert Tamiya's 1/4-ton small vehicle into a Rotabuggy. Includes a vacuum canopy and painting mask seals for the canopy, nationality mark and laboratory mark. Get yours today and add this unique aircraft to your lineup!'
