Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The proposed E-series of tanks was Germany's attempt to create a standardized line of armored fighting vehicles that would incorporate interchangeable parts. There were to be six weight classes, designated E-5, E-10, E-25, E-50, E-75, and E-100. Only the E-100 got off the drawing boards, and even then it only made it so far as a turretless, engineless chassis and suspension. Apparently contracts were given to build three trial E-10 vehicles, but were never completed. The E-10 was a turretless design, looking superficially like an flattened Hetzer tank destroyer. In the 10-ton class, it was designed primarily as a test chassis for the rest of the E series. It was to have been armed with a 75mm main gun.

Trumpeter's E-10 kit is sharply molded in light gray plastic, and features both rubber belt-style and plastic indy-link tracks. Can be built with or without optional PE side skirts. Comes with a nice fret of photo-etched metal detail parts and decals for a fictitious operational vehicle. A great "what-if" project!
