This completed display model from Waltersons is of the KFZ305 Opel Blitz, a military truck widely used by the German Army in World War II. This is an ambulance type, active in transporting wounded soldiers. Part of the cabin and chassis are a die-cast assembled and painted model. The style of adding an ambulance cargo area to the rear of the truck chassis is reproduced down to the smallest detail. The side and rear doors of the ambulance part can be opened and closed; the left and right doors of the cabin can also be opened and closed. The seats and beds inside the cargo area, the driver's seat and instrument panel are all realistically reproduced; a driver figure is in the driver's seat. The underside of the model and chassis reproduces its mechanisms in detail; the front and rear leaf spring suspension and the four-wheel-drive system are also realistically modeled.
