This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Production of the Clarktor 6 towing tractor began in 1942, and it was manufactured until 1966. From 1941 to 1945, Clark produced nearly 90 percent of the military's forklifts and tow tractors. During World War II, there was not an Allied airfield where the Clarktor tractor was not stationed. The Clarktor 6 was powered by a 62hp liquid-cooled Chrysler six-cylinder 230-cid flathead gasoline engine with a top speed of 24km/h and a three-speed gearbox. Production began in 1942, and by the end of the war Clark had delivered over 1,500 of the Clarktor 6 to the Royal Air Force. These were manufactured in a version known as "BH," for "British Heavy," and were supplied to the Royal Air Force under the Lend-Lease scheme. The Mill-44 was a heavy version of the tractor, capable of pulling over 90 tons and capable of handling aircraft, including heavy bombers operated by the USAAF and RAF, as well as bomb trailers of all types.
This 1/32-scale model kit from Thunder Model features accurately reproduced parts with a high level of detail, as well as a precise reproduction of the engine and drive parts. A selectable side engine panel is included, as are silicone tires. Transparent parts, photo-etched parts, and decals for five versions are included. Place your order today!
