This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Spitfire is a single-engine, single-seat, piston-engine fighter aircraft developed by Supermarine in the United Kingdom. The German Bf 109F, which appeared in late 1940, surpassed the Spitfire in speed, rate of climb, and high-altitude maneuverability. As a countermeasure, the Mk.V was developed, featuring a Merlin 45 series engine and metal ailerons instead of fabric-covered ones. The Mk.Vb, of which 3,923 were produced, was equipped with two 20mm cannons and four 7.7mm machine guns, and along with the Mk.Va and Mk.Vc, it engaged in fierce battles with the Bf 109F at high altitudes.
