AMP brings us a completely new 1/32-scale model kit of the OH-6A Cayuse Loach! The OH-6 is a light helicopter developed by Hughes Helicopters in the United States. Its official nickname is Cayuse, but it's also known as Loach, a derivative of the development program name LOH (Light Observation Helicopter). The OH-6, which made its first flight in 1963, has served with the militaries of the U.S. and numerous other countries, and remains in active service today. In Japan, the OH-6J, licensed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, was introduced to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The OH-6 was also used as a base for the civilian MD 500, and a combined total of approximately 6,000 OH-6s and MD 500s were produced. Known for its compact, lightweight, and durable airframe and excellent maneuverability, the OH-6 is considered one of the world's most famous aircraft.
