Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Nieuport II is a fighter plane with a single wing and a half, designed by Gustave Delage and produced by Nieuport during World War I. It appeared on the Western Front in the summer of 1915, and is known as the aircraft that ended the "Fokker Punishment" by overpowering the German monoplane fighter, the Fokker Eindecker. This aircraft was affectionately known as "Bebe," and was piloted by the French ace pilots Georges Guynemer and Charles Nungesser. The Nieuport II was also supplied to the French Air Corps and the Royal Navy Air Service, as well as to air forces in the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, and Italy; in addition, 646 aircraft were licensed and produced by the Italian company Macchi.

The later model Nieuport XI has an enlarged inspection panel, and decals for four French military versions are provided, including the machine of "the amputee ace," Paul Tarsascon.

This 1/32-scale model kit from Copper State Models is a completely new mold! Photo-etched parts are completed, as are decals by Cartograf for four versions. Place your order today!

  • [Size]: 18.1cm long, 23.4cm wingspan when completed
