The Chevrolet Chevy II Nova was made by General Motors from 1962 to 1988. Created as a new compact car class model, it was originally called the Chevy II; the Nova name has been used since 1969. It was developed to compete with the rival Ford Falcon at the ti9me. The first-generation model had a lineup of two-door sedans, hardtops, convertibles, four-door sedans and station wagons. A variety of engines were available, from 2.5 liters for four cylinders, to 3.1 liters and 3.8 liters for inline six cylinders, and 4.6 liters and 5.3 liters for V8 cylinders. The model was continuously changed to the second generation in 1966 and the third generation in 1968, and it was constantly popular as the main model of Chevrolet's compact cars.
This model kit from AMT/Ertl reproduces the 1963 Chevy II Nova of the first generation. This new-mold kit is part of AMT's Craftsman Plus series, pursuing ease of assembly with a reduced number of parts; it's perfect for both beginners and veteran modelers. Simple plate parts are included for the engine, and the bumper parts and more are also plated. The interior is well-detailed, and rubber tires are included as well. Order yours today!
