AMT/Ertl brings us a model kit of the powerful GMC General! Making its debut in 1969, the General features a chassis mounted to a rudder frame with 6x4 and two rear axles, or 4x2 with one real axle. Caterpillar, Cummins or Detroit Diesel engines can be selected, with the Detroit Diesel used as the standard. The cab is made entirely of aluminum, and is available in a larger sleeper version as well.

This kit represents the 1976 version in its rear wheel two-axle configuration and a sleeper cab. The kit has more than 300 parts for a high level of detail; plated parts are included for the bumpers, exhaust pipes, rear-view mirrors, wheels and more to create a gorgeous finish! The hood can be opened after assembly to admire the power-packed engine, and the interior of the sleeper cab is fully detailed, including the dashboards and sheets.
