This is an injection-plastic passenger car kit.
The Model A was introduced in 1927 as the successor to the Ford Model T, one of the most well-known cars in the world. The body design adopted by Edsel Ford is similar to the high-end model Lincoln, and attracted many customers. In addition to the sedan body, the lineup included a wide variety of body styles such as coupes, convertibles, roadsters, station wagons and pickup trucks. It was equipped with a 3.3-liter in-line four-cylinder engine. A gearshift three-speed transmission and four-wheel brakes were also incorporated. The Ford Model A sold well when it was launched, and it was also used as a base vehicle for customization. It was produced until 1932, when it was overtaken by the Model B; nearly 5 million of the Model A in all body styles were produced.
This kit from AMT/Ertl can be assembled in one of two ways: the station wagon-type woody or the pickup truck! This full-detail kit reproduces the body parts, frame and engine, as well as the drive shaft and front and rear springs on the chassis. You can select from two interior and body layouts: in the station wagon, the wooden body frame and the woodgrain texture of the floorboards are carefully duplicated. The pickup is a street rod custom. The engine is a V-type eight-cylinder, and a wide range of tires and wheels are also included. A bicycle that can be loaded in the back is also included! This fun kit is the perfect way to while away a weekend -- order yours today!
