The Land Cruiser is a Toyota model that is gaining worldwide popularity and recognition as a cross-country vehicle. Its birth was the BJ type that first appeared in 1951, and mass production began in 1953. Since then, the Land Cruiser, which has continued to be upgraded and remodeled, has improved its running performance on rough roads, and also improved its comfort. It still has many fans today. The 40 series, first appearing in 1960, became a long-selling version that was produced until 1984, with many minor changes in details. The BJ-44 version appeared in 1979. It was equipped with a 3.2-liter diesel engine.
