This is an injection-plastic passenger car kit.
Inspired by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR of 1955, the magnificent Mercedes-Benz SLR ( "Super-Leicht, Rennsport," or Super-Light, Racing) McLaren super sports car was co-developed by DaimlerChrysler and McLaren Cars and produced at McLaren's facility in England. Its 626-horsepower 5.5-liter supercharged V8 gives it a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds. That's really, really fast.
Alright! Tamiya antes up with a fantastic new kit of the drool-inducing Mercedes SLR McLaren. Kit features a die-cast lower chassis part for weight, and working gull-wing doors (metal shaft hinges provided). Hood also opens and closes after assembly to reveal the details of the 5.5-liter supercharged monster hiding within!
