This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.
The Mercedes CLK-GTR has easily been one of Tamiya's most popular car kit releases of the last several years, as witnessed by the multiple variations they've released. This time it's the "Original-Teile" car with its unique "peeled open" markings. Except for those decals and the color of the plastic, this limited-release offering is identical to the standard kit.
Sakatsu has released a dress-up parts set for this item as well!
