The second-generation Savanna RX-7, the FC3S, was introduced in October 1985, replacing the previous SA22C with a full model change. The completely redesigned FC3S featured a glamorous body with blister fenders, inheriting the traditional retractable headlights. The suspension evolved to a four-wheel independent system with front struts and rear multi-link. The engine was the 13B-T type with an intercooler and twin-scroll turbo, making it a popular high-performance sports machine with sharp handling and high power.
