The T.50 is the first car from the manufacturer GMA (Gordon Murray Automotive), launched in 2017 by Gordon Murray, a genius who created numerous innovative F1 machines as a designer for Brabham and McLaren in the 1970s and 1980s. The car's name comes from the 50th anniversary of Gordon Murray's career and the 50th design. A 3.9-liter V-type 12-cylinder engine is installed in the midship on a lightweight and compact body that weighs less than one ton, which is unusual for a modern supercar. The large fan installed at the rear of the car body functions as an aerodynamic device that controls six different aero modes in combination with the internal duct and movable rear wing.
