This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.
BMW, which boasts a glorious history of touring car racing, was the flagship machine that was active from the 1990s to the 2000s, codenamed the E46 model. It was developed based on the fourth-generation BMW 3 Series that appeared in 1999, and was entrusted to many teams participating in touring car races around the world. While most of the base vehicles for touring car races have switched to a front-engine, front-drive FF format, BMW has maintained a front-engine, rear-drive FR format. It has earned the trust of drivers and teams who want different handling characteristics from FF cars. The BMW E46 of Carly Motors, which participated in the Dutch national touring car championship race, DTCC, from 1999 to 2003, won the championship in 2001 with Tom Coronel at the wheel.
This model kit from Platz is a 1/24-scale assembly kit of the BMW 320i E46, the car that Tom Coronel drove to victory in the 2001 Dutch Touring Car Championship (DTCC). The simple and basic body style is modeled with a sense of realism; decals are also included that reproduce the markings of the car driven by Dutch driver Duncan Huisman in the 2002 Macau Guia Race. The logo of Park'N Shop, a supermarket headquartered in Hong Kong, and the blue paintwork give the kit a different image. Of course, the interior of the model accurately conveys the atmosphere of a racing vehicle, with a roll cage, bucket seats, various equipment, and a dashboard. The underside of the chassis also features a three-dimensional expression, with details on the floor panels, exhaust routing, suspension arms, and more! Order yours today!
